American Victory Mariners Memorial & Museum Ship

The popular American Victory tours allow visitors to view first hand the on-going work to restore this icon of America's merchant maritime might. Travel ‘back in time’ aboard a functioning, 1940s era merchant cargo vessel which served during World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars. Visitors experience virtually the entire ship, including cavernous three-level cargo holds, radio and gyro rooms, hospital, galley, weaponry, reefers, steering stations, flying bridge, signaling equipment, wheelhouse, officer and crew messes, engine room, crew cabins, chartroom, lifeboats and cargo equipment. Closed circuit television hookups allow a view of engine room, four decks below.

Big Cat Rescue

Big Cat Rescue is the world's largest accredited big cat rescue facility. The non-profit sanctuary is home to more than 100 lions, tigers, leopards, cougars, servals, caracals, and various other exotic cats.
The facility offers a variety of guided educational tours at 14 set times during the week. Be aware that some tours are not open to children ages 9 and under. All ages tours are held Saturdays at 9am. They also offer private tours, field trips, birthday parties, and other events

Clearwater Marine Aquarium

The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is a working aquarium, much involved in sealife rescues. Its most famous rescued resident was Sunset Sam, a dolphin who loved to paint. Sam is no longer among the living, but his art is still on display at the Aquarium.
At the aquarium, kids will enjoy petting manta rays, and seeing rescued dolphins, turtles, and otters. The Aquarium also offers beach walks to see turtle nests and boat excursions such as Sea Life Safari-- see Fun Attractions and Activities.
Dinosaur World

See over 150 life size dinosaurs which are displayed outdoors with explanatory signs. Search for authentic fossils in an paleontological setting. Stroll through a dinosaur museum with everything from dinosaur eggs to raptor claws. Be a paleontologist and take part in some field work or just dig in the sand. At the "Caves" see a video theatre, subterranean picnic area, displays and more in a unique setting Let the children play on our playground. See life size dinosaur skeletons at the Skeleton Garden. The exhibit also includes a paleontologist field work site. This is Dinosaur World's newest exhibit.

The Pier
