On March 27, 2026, individuals interested in mental health awareness and support are invited to attend a Mental Health First Aid Training session at the Dunedin Fine Art Center from 9 am to 3 pm. This workshop, part of a series organized by Creative Pinellas, aims to equip participants with practical tools to assist individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. A recent participant, a member of the Tampa Repertory Theatre staff, highlighted the training’s importance, stating it helped to dispel stigma and provided valuable resources for the community. Participants will enjoy refreshments and lunch during the session, but pre-registration is required by March 18. The workshops are facilitated by the Love IV Lawrence foundation at no cost, thanks to a grant from Safe & Sound Hillsborough, and hospitality support from Freeman Sound. This training represents a crucial opportunity for attendees to learn how to better support themselves and others in both work and home environments, fostering a more understanding and supportive community. Don’t miss out on this chance to make a difference in mental health awareness.
