Deuces Day Out at Deuces Corner Park — 09/19/26

Deuces Day Out will bring music, community pride and a look at St. Petersburg’s historic Black cultural landmarks to Deuces Corner Park on Saturday, Sept. 19. The event follows the grand reopening of the renovated Manhattan Casino, where a ribbon cutting begins at 10 a.m. before self-guided tours of the improved event spaces. The celebration highlights the city’s Imagine the Deuces initiative and the building’s important place in the Chitlin’ Music Circuit.

From 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., visitors can head to Deuces Corner Park at 9th Avenue S. and 22nd Street S. for a free afternoon of live performances and neighborhood engagement. Featured acts include the Gibbs High School Jazz Band, Alejandro Arenas and Allison Nash, Deneen Wyman, and Imam Wilmore Sadiki, along with more local talent. Lunch from Love22 will be available while supplies last.

The event will also give residents a chance to meet the Burg Bid development team, talk about redevelopment ideas for the Historic Gas Plant District, and connect with Deuces Live! leadership and business owners. Attendees can also pick up the city’s Black History Zine and a commemorative Manhattan Casino reopening poster featuring new mural artwork by Egypt Hagan.
