St. Petersburg arts organizations and cultural groups have a major funding deadline approaching this month. The City of St. Petersburg says the Division of Arts and Culture grant application portal is now open for General Program Support, Specific Cultural Projects, and Cultural Facilities funding. Applications must be submitted by July 10, 2026, at 5 p.m. EST.
The grant opportunity comes as the city continues to spotlight public art, neighborhood revitalization, and community-centered cultural programming. July’s City of the Arts newsletter highlights the value of arts investment across St. Pete, from restored public artworks like Millennium Gateway and Sculptural Poetic Environment to new neighborhood markers in the Grand Central District and national recognition for The Deuces Live.
City officials also emphasize that arts funding is part of a broader effort to strengthen cultural infrastructure and community impact. Local artists, nonprofits, and cultural institutions seeking support for projects, facilities, or ongoing programming are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
The newsletter also notes additional ways the city is supporting arts access, including public meetings, public mural commissions, and shared services for small arts nonprofits. For organizations ready to expand their reach, the July 10 deadline represents an important chance to secure support for future creative work in St. Petersburg.
