High School Musical at Sparkman Wharf — 06/28/26

Sparkman Wharf will turn into a summer sing-along destination on Sunday, June 28, when Tampa Theatre presents a free community screening of High School Musical. The 2006 Disney favorite begins at 6:30 p.m. as part of the venue’s Summer Sing-Along Series, bringing the energy of East High to the waterfront for fans of all ages. The 1 hour and 38 minute musical is rated G and remains a family-friendly crowd-pleaser, packed with catchy songs and feel-good nostalgia.

Organizers are adding a little extra excitement for early arrivals: the first 100 guests will receive a free LED fan and popcorn, courtesy of series sponsor QC®. The event is being held offsite at Sparkman Wharf, giving moviegoers a chance to enjoy one of Tampa’s popular outdoor gathering spaces while singing along to the film’s biggest hits.

The screening follows another free community event earlier that day, a showing of Stand By Me, but High School Musical is expected to be the evening’s most festive draw. With its upbeat soundtrack, familiar story, and waterfront setting, the event offers a relaxed way to celebrate summer in Tampa.
