John Williams @ 95 Celebrates Music from Star Wars to Harry Potter at the Mahaffey Theater on 11/01/26

The Florida Orchestra is set to salute one of film music’s greatest living composers with John Williams @ 95, a concert celebrating the legendary soundtrack writer’s career at the Mahaffey Theater on Nov. 1, 2026. The program will feature some of Williams’ most beloved themes, spanning the blockbuster worlds of Star Wars and Harry Potter and highlighting the sweeping melodies that have made his name synonymous with movie magic.

The concert arrives during a packed season for the orchestra, which is also opening its Masterworks series with Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture and presenting a range of popular and classical programs across Tampa Bay. Part of the orchestra’s broader 2026-27 lineup, John Williams @ 95 is designed to appeal both to longtime fans of symphonic film scores and to new audiences drawn to familiar music from the big screen.

The Florida Orchestra, led by Music Director Michael Francis, has built a reputation for programming that mixes classical masterworks with Pops favorites and family-friendly events. This tribute to Williams continues that tradition, offering an evening that blends nostalgia, grandeur and cinematic energy in one of St. Petersburg’s premier concert venues.
