Tropicana Field is set for a major celebration as the Tampa Bay Rays honor franchise icon Evan Longoria during Longo Legacy Weekend on Friday, July 10, 2026. According to the newsletter, Longoria will receive a hero’s welcome in his return to The Trop, where the team plans to retire his number and enshrine him in the Rays Hall of Fame.
The weekend is being billed as a can’t-miss event for Rays fans, with a full slate of promotions surrounding the ceremony. Attendees can look forward to free Longoria hats and cards, along with extra entertainment that extends beyond the ballpark. The celebration will also include a postgame concert and even an in-stadium barbershop, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Longoria remains one of the most beloved players in Rays history, and the team is making sure his legacy gets the sendoff it deserves. With on-field honors, special giveaways, and plenty of fanfare, Longo Legacy Weekend is shaping up to be one of the standout events of the summer at Tropicana Field.
