Tropicana Field will be the place to be on July 28, 2025, as the Tampa Bay Rays celebrate Longo’s Legacy Weekend. The special event honors a fan favorite and longtime Rays standout, bringing an added layer of excitement to a weekend already packed with baseball energy. Families looking for a summer outing can enjoy the game-day atmosphere at the Trop while taking part in the tribute to one of the franchise’s most memorable players.
The weekend celebration is one of several family-friendly highlights featured in Tampa Bay Parenting’s curated list of local events. The email also points to other ways to make the most of the season, including Clearwater Marine Aquarium’s after-hours Summer Sips & Sea Lions event, where guests can meet the newly arrived sea lions Wahoo and Tuna. For parents planning ahead, the roundup includes plenty of additional attractions across Tampa Bay, from museum savings to hands-on science fun at MOSI and even big summer outings at LEGOLAND, ZooTampa, and Disney After Hours.
With baseball, marine life, and more all on the calendar, Longo’s Legacy Weekend anchors a strong lineup of summer entertainment for Tampa Bay families.
