Mental Health First Aid Training at freeFall Theatre on 03/26/26

On March 30, 2026, freeFall Theatre will host a crucial Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training session aimed at equipping artists and creatives with the skills to recognize and respond to mental health challenges. This training is part of a new initiative by Creative Pinellas, focusing on enhancing the wellbeing of the local creative community. Participants will engage in two hours of self-paced online content followed by five hours of instructor-led training. Stoney Dvornik, an instructor from the Love IV Lawrence foundation, emphasizes the course’s life-changing nature, stating it teaches individuals how to effectively communicate with and support those exhibiting signs of mental health or substance use issues. By participating, creatives can become vital champions of mental health awareness in their communities. Interested individuals must register for the session by March 16, ensuring they secure their place in this impactful training designed to foster a supportive environment for mental health within the arts community.
