Mental Health First Aid Training at Lealman Exchange on 03/26/26

On March 25, 2026, Creative Pinellas will host a Mental Health First Aid training session at Lealman Exchange, specifically aimed at artists and creatives. This initiative, part of a broader campaign to enhance mental well-being within the local creative community, equips participants with vital skills to recognize and address mental health challenges and substance use issues. The training, conducted by the Love IV Lawrence foundation, includes two hours of self-paced online content followed by five hours of interactive, instructor-led sessions. Stoney Dvornik, an experienced Mental Health First Aid instructor and a member of the foundation’s Advocacy Committee, emphasizes that the course is both effective and transformative. Attendees will learn to identify symptoms of mental health concerns, communicate compassionately, and direct individuals to appropriate resources. The importance of fostering a robust support network cannot be overstated, especially in the arts community where emotional expression can heavily correlate with mental health. Registration for the Lealman Exchange session closes on March 11, so interested individuals are encouraged to sign up promptly. Join Creative Pinellas in leading the charge towards improved mental health awareness and support within our artistic circles.
