On March 28th, 2026, FloridaRAMA will host a crucial Mental Health First Aid workshop, designed specifically for performers and creatives. This event is part of a series organized by Creative Pinellas to address the heightened mental health and substance use challenges faced by artists. The workshop runs from 9 am to 3 pm, providing a full day of training, refreshments, and lunch for attendees. Pre-registration is mandatory, with a deadline of March 19th. Those who have not yet registered are encouraged to do so quickly, as spots are filling up across all participating venues, including previous sessions at Lealman Exchange and Dunedin Fine Art Center. Facilitated by the Love IV Lawrence foundation and made possible at no cost through a grant from Safe & Sound Hillsborough, these workshops aim to equip participants with the skills to recognize and respond to mental health issues both in themselves and their peers. This training is an invaluable resource for anyone in the creative community looking to foster a supportive environment amidst the unique stresses of artistic professions.
