The Mental Health First Aid Workshop is set to take place at freeFall Theater on March 30, 2026, from 9 am to 3 pm. This essential program is aimed at supporting the local cultural community by addressing the mental health and substance use challenges that disproportionately affect artists, performers, and creatives. Pre-registration is required, with a deadline of March 20 to ensure a spot at this workshop. The event will feature discussions led by CEO Margaret Murray and artist Calan Ree, who will share insights on recognizing and responding to mental health signs in oneself and others. This workshop is facilitated by the Love IV Lawrence foundation and is offered at no cost to participants thanks to a grant from Safe & Sound Hillsborough. Additionally, refreshments and lunch will be provided, making it a comprehensive and valuable experience. Previous workshops have generated significant interest, highlighting the importance of mental health resources for the artistic community.
