The Florida Orchestra has announced its 2026-27 season, and one of the standout intimate concerts will spotlight Mozart’s Symphony No. 29 on March 12, 2027. Part of the Soundwaves Chamber Orchestra series, the program will be led by violinist Jeffrey Multer, with David Smith featured on horn. The evening will also include Beethoven’s String Quartet in an arrangement by Gustav Mahler, Mozart’s Horn Concerto No. 2, and Max Richter’s On the Nature of Daylight.
The orchestra describes the performance as a chance to “be in the moment with radiant, joyful Mozart,” paired with the youthful energy of Beethoven and the soaring melodies of Richter. Designed for a more personal concert experience, the Soundwaves series brings audiences closer to both the music and the musicians.
The March 12 performance will take place at Central Park Performing Arts Center in Largo at 7:30 p.m., followed by additional performances on March 13 at Zinober Hall in Tampa and a matinee on March 14 at USF St. Pete. Tickets for the full 2026-27 season, including this concert, went on sale Aug. 11 at FloridaOrchestra.org, by phone, and at The Florida Orchestra Ticket Center in St. Petersburg.
