Clearwater residents will have a chance to help save lives on Friday, Sept. 26, when OneBlood hosts a blood drive at Patio Lane. The community event, highlighted in I Love the Burg’s weekend roundup, encourages donors to roll up their sleeves and give blood at a time when supplies are always needed. In return for donating, participants can expect a few thank-you perks, including gifts and lunch.
The blood drive is part of a busy lineup of weekend happenings across Pinellas County, but it stands out for its direct impact. Every donation can help hospitals support patients undergoing surgeries, cancer treatment, trauma care, and other emergencies. For many donors, the process takes less than an hour and can make a lasting difference.
With fall events filling calendars from Oktoberfest to anime conventions and community cleanups, the OneBlood drive offers another way to take part in local life. This is a simple opportunity for Clearwater neighbors to make a meaningful contribution while enjoying a few extras for their time. Those planning to donate should check OneBlood’s guidelines before heading to Patio Lane.
