Baseball fans looking for a summer night out have a marquee matchup to circle on the calendar: the Baltimore Orioles visit the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field on Friday, August 14, 2025. According to the newsletter from I Love the Burg, the ballpark will host three home games against the Orioles, making this the start of a key stretch for Tampa Bay at home. The Friday showdown is the centerpiece of a weekend packed with events across Pinellas County, but for sports fans, all eyes will be on the Rays as they take the field under the dome.
Tropicana Field has long been a destination for local baseball, and an Orioles-Rays game always brings plenty of energy. With both teams often battling for position in the division, the atmosphere should be lively from first pitch to the final out. Whether you’re a Rays regular, an Orioles follower, or simply looking for a fun August outing, this matchup offers an easy excuse to grab tickets and head to St. Petersburg for an evening of major league action.
