Movie fans and orchestra lovers will have a swashbuckling night out on Friday, September 18, 2026, when The Florida Orchestra performs the Pirates of the Caribbean score live at the Mahaffey. The event is one of the weekend highlights in St. Petersburg, bringing the blockbuster film’s action and adventure to life with a full symphonic soundtrack. Instead of hearing the familiar music from speakers, audiences will experience every dramatic cue and triumphant theme played in real time by professional musicians.
The performance is part of a busy local calendar that also includes theater, baseball, dance competitions, and community celebrations across the Tampa Bay area. But the Mahaffey’s Pirates of the Caribbean presentation stands out as a cinematic concert experience, blending Hollywood spectacle with classical performance. For families, longtime fans of the franchise, and anyone looking for a memorable date night, it offers a rare chance to enjoy a beloved film in a fresh way.
With fall events just getting underway, the show adds a festive note to St. Pete’s arts scene and gives audiences another reason to head downtown for a night of live entertainment.
