Fans of swashbuckling adventure and live orchestral music have a reason to mark their calendars for Sept. 18 and 19, when Pirates of the Caribbean In Concert arrives at the Mahaffey. According to I Love the Burg’s latest event roundup, the Florida Orchestra will perform the iconic Pirates of the Caribbean score live while the film plays on screen, creating a cinematic experience that brings Jack Sparrow’s world to life in a whole new way.
The concert is one of the featured events in a packed week of Tampa Bay entertainment, joining several major draws across the region. But this one stands out for movie lovers, music fans, and anyone looking for a big-night-out experience in downtown St. Pete. The combination of a full orchestra and a beloved blockbuster soundtrack should make for a memorable performance, especially for audiences who grew up with the film series or know the music by heart.
With its adventurous theme, dramatic score, and festive atmosphere, the event offers something a little different from a typical concert or movie screening. For local attendees, it’s a chance to hear the score with a live symphonic punch—and maybe feel like they’ve set sail with Captain Jack Sparrow himself.
