St. Petersburg’s weekend calendar is packed, but one of Friday’s standout events is Red Bull Dance Your Style, bringing top U.S. street dancers to the city for a high-energy battle. The competition will showcase improvisational skill, quick thinking, and crowd-pleasing moves as dancers go head-to-head for the national title and a coveted spot in the World Final. Unlike a traditional judged performance, the format puts the power in the hands of the audience, making every round unpredictable and every reaction count.
The dance showdown is part of a broader lineup of arts, sports, and community events happening across St. Pete and Tampa Bay that weekend. From American Stage’s tribute to Janis Joplin to the Tampa Bay Rays’ final home series of the season, residents have plenty of reasons to head out. But Red Bull Dance Your Style offers something uniquely electric: a live competition built on music, movement, and raw style.
For fans of street dance and live entertainment, it’s a chance to see some of the country’s best performers up close as they turn the stage into a battleground. With the national title on the line, the energy is expected to be intense from the first beat to the final vote.
