Soccer fans in St. Petersburg will have a hometown event to circle on the calendar this fall as the Tampa Bay Rowdies return to Al Lang Stadium on September 5, 2025. According to the latest local events roundup, the Rowdies will host Brooklyn FC for Community Heroes Night, giving supporters a chance to cheer on the team while celebrating the people and organizations that make a difference in the Tampa Bay area.
Al Lang has long been one of the region’s most recognizable sports venues, and Rowdies matches there bring an energetic game-day atmosphere to downtown St. Pete. Community Heroes Night adds a special layer to the evening, making the matchup about more than just the scoreline. It’s an opportunity for fans to come together, recognize local service, and enjoy a night of live soccer under the lights.
The newsletter from I Love the Burg also highlights the Rowdies game among a busy slate of early September happenings in the area. But for soccer followers, this one stands out as the featured event. With Brooklyn FC coming to town, the Rowdies are set to deliver one of the week’s biggest sports draws at Al Lang.
