The Art of Banksy Opening at Straz Center on 08/14/25

Banksy fans in Tampa got a major reason to mark their calendars on August 14, 2025, with the opening of The Art of Banksy at the Straz Center. According to a local newsletter recap, the exhibit brings what was described as the largest collection of Banksy work gathered in one place, offering visitors a rare chance to experience the artist’s provocative street art up close. The opening-night visit highlighted some of Banksy’s most famous cultural moments, including the Paris Hilton prank and his collaboration with Stormzy, adding context to the anonymous artist’s global impact. One of the biggest surprises for attendees was the exhibit’s interactive design: guests don’t just view the art from a distance, but actually walk onto the stage as part of the experience. That immersive setup gives the show a theatrical twist that fits the Straz Center perfectly. For longtime admirers and curious newcomers alike, The Art of Banksy promises more than a gallery visit—it’s an event that blends art, performance, and a little bit of mischief in a memorable downtown Tampa setting.
