Creative Pinellas is set to continue its America250-inspired arts programming with “The Women of My Life Concert” by Dave & Heather Hamar on Aug. 28, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m. The concert is part of a broader series of new works supported by Creative Pinellas and the National Endowment for the Arts as Pinellas County artists reflect on the history, present, and future of America in advance of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The Hamar concert follows the July unveiling of Kirk Ke Wang’s installation honoring Chinese-American horticulturist Lue Gim Gong, known as “The Citrus Wizard,” and Vanessa Cunto’s Paths Like Past exhibition on Aug. 1. Together, the projects highlight the region’s creative range while connecting local art to larger historical themes.
Creative Pinellas says the America250-funded initiatives are designed to celebrate heritage and community through music, visual art, and film. Two additional artists, Erica Sutherlin and Felipe Zamudio, are also developing projects for later this year.
The concert adds to a busy season for Creative Pinellas, which recently opened Juicy: A Slice of Florida Life at Sightline Gallery at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport. Like that citrus-themed exhibition, the August performance is part of an ongoing effort to showcase local talent and deepen public engagement with Florida’s cultural story.
