Tampa movie fans can look forward to a magical summer sing-along when Wicked lights up Sparkman Wharf on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026. The offsite screening is part of Tampa Theatre’s Summer Sing-Along Series, presented by QC in partnership with Sparkman Wharf, bringing one of the year’s biggest musical fantasies to an outdoor waterfront setting. The 2024 film runs 2 hours and 40 minutes and is rated PG, making it a crowd-friendly event for audiences ready to belt out the songs together.
The evening starts at 6:30 p.m., and the theater is encouraging guests to arrive early. The first 100 attendees will receive free popcorn and an LED fan courtesy of series sponsor QC, adding to the festive atmosphere. With its strong mix of musical numbers, fantasy spectacle, and familiar story, Wicked is a natural fit for a communal sing-along experience.
The screening reflects Tampa Theatre’s broader effort to celebrate local and independent cinema while also presenting special offsite events around the area. Between the waterfront setting, audience participation, and free giveaways, the Aug. 23 showing promises to be one of the most lively summer movie events in Tampa. Tickets and more information are available through Tampa Theatre.
