The Youth Environmental Action Summit is set to take place on February 28, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Plant Hall, University of Tampa, honoring the legacy of the esteemed primatologist and conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall. This summit serves as an invaluable opportunity for young attendees to explore local ecosystems and learn practical ways to protect them. The event will feature an engaging keynote address by mother-daughter co-authors, Julie C. Henry and Tasman Henry, who will share insights based on their collaborative work. In addition to the keynote, participants can partake in hands-on activities designed to encourage environmental stewardship. At the heart of the summit is an environmental expo showcasing over 40 local organizations and initiatives dedicated to ecological preservation. Tickets for the keynote and activities are priced at $10 per child, while parents and chaperones can participate for free. The expo is completely free, making it an accessible and enriching experience for all. Join the community in raising awareness and inspiring the next generation to take meaningful action towards environmental sustainability.
